In a city where oil once fueled ambition and neon lit the promise of possibility, one family helped compose a different kind of legacy—one written in stage lights, standing ovations, and the echo of unforgettable nights.

For more than 40 years, Peter Mayo transformed the historic Tulsa Theater into one of the region’s most celebrated live music venues. Under his stewardship, generations of music fans experienced legendary performances, discovered new artists, and gathered in a place that became far more than a theater. It became a tradition. A landmark. A place where Tulsa came together to celebrate the power of live music.

Following the sale of the Tulsa Theater, Peter is inviting the community to one final celebration—not on the theater’s iconic stage, but in the adjoining studio that has long served as its creative heartbeat. Over three days, local artists, food, drinks, and friends old and new will come together for a weekend dedicated to the music and the memories that defined an era.

The Mayo Final Encore isn’t about saying goodbye to live music.

It’s a thank you—to the artists who filled the stage, the audiences who filled the seats, and the city that made it all possible. As one chapter comes to a close and another begins, we invite you to join us for one final weekend celebrating a legacy that helped shape Tulsa’s cultural identity.
